New Equine Quality Direct Digital Radiography At An Affordable Price

Forget the need to have film and chemicals, and eliminate the wear and tear associated with CR plates. Diagnostic Imaging Systems, Inc. (DIS) introduces the 8x10 vDRHG, an affordable direct radiography detector with amazing image quality.

The 8x10 vDR HG produces quality images, has no maintenance costs, is easy and inexpensive to repair, has a faster acquisition than CR, comes with a 2 year warranty and only costs $19,995! (special introductory offer)

“For the equine practitioner, speed, convenience, and image quality are everything,” states DIS President Joe Hecker. “Direct Radiography is the best way to go if you’re an equine veterinarian, but DR Flat Panels are still very expensive and if it breaks, then you have a very costly repair or a more probable replacement. The 8x10 vDR HG offers DR to those that didn’t think they could afford it, without compromising on image quality.”

The vDR HG applies a multi-ccd detector method with the maximum of 192 widely versatile highly-sensitive CCD sensors, accomplishing a high quality DR system at a minimal cost. If damage were to occur to the detector, the sensors could easily and inexpensively be replaced, saving the veterinarian thousands of dollars when compared to flat panels. And unlike CR systems, there are no cassettes, or plates, the detector sends images directly to the computer within seconds.

For a limited time, DIS is offering the 8x10 vDR HG at a special introductory price of only $19,995, which includes computer and software. Veterinarians can make it a complete system package by adding an industry-leading Ultra-Light, Ultra-Powerful, Ultra-High Frequency PortableX-Ray Unit for only $5,995, which comes standard with a 3-year Hot Swap Warranty-5 year available for a minimal cost.

You don't need a stationary x-ray system anymore

The days of needing a large stationary x-ray system are over! The Mobile VV400 Digital Navigator System can save veterinarians over $27,500 without compromising quality. The Mobile VV400 Digital Navigator is the latest in a long line of quality veterinary products from Diagnostic Imaging Systems. The Mobile VV400 Digital Navigator system consists of a mobile 2-way float top examination table, 120kV/100mAs self-contained x-ray unit and 17"x17" digital flat panel.

It offers simple and accurate positioning with less movement of the patient, ensuring consistent, repeatable, and high quality images. This revolutionary, full-featured compact system produces substantial MR output when compared with Stationary systems, producing motionless radiographic images of a 125 pound canine thoracic at 120kVp exposure technique.

The Mobile VV400 Digital Navigator systems provides substantial mR output, 3 second image viewing, creates 33% less scatter radiation, is a space saver utilizing 50% less space than an ordinary stationary system, is mobile, has a better warranty and did I mention, can save veterinarians up to $27,500 once you figure equipment, shipping, installation, training, support, and warranty costs. This doesn't even include the space saving costs. The VV400 takes up 50% less space than stationary systems. That's 50% less square footage needed in your facility. If you're paying by the square foot, then that can easily save you $10,000-$20,000 over a 10 year period!

The Mobile VV400 Digital Navigator system is shipped fully assembled and ready to go out of the box. There is no special wiring needed, as it can be plugged into an ordinary 120vAC 15amp outlet, and no extra installation costs required, because the trained service technicians from DIS can install and train staff over the phone and online. The 17”x17” Dr Flat panel comes with a 2 year warranty, the self-contained x-ray generator and table have a 3 year Hot Swap Warranty, and all DIS products come with life-time toll-free training and support.

Portable X-Ray Market Share Increases for DIS

Diagnostic Imaging Systems, Inc. (DIS) has been a leader in digital radiography equipment for veterinary practices for over 30 years. DIS sells and services, among many other products, DR Flat Panels, CR Systems, multi-ccd detectors and portable x-ray generators. In 2013, the company saw an increase in market share for their ULTRA HF line of portable x-ray units over any other year in its history.

“Portable x-ray units have always been necessary for equine practitioners,” explains DIS President Joe Hecker. “But now we’re seeing small animal practices realize the benefits of having a portable x-ray unit and mobile table over a stationary system.”

On average, a DIS ULTRA HF Portable X-Ray Unit, with mobile exam table, costs half the price of a stationary system. It also gives the flexibility to remove the portable unit and take it into surgery, or wheel it in with the Versa-View All-in-One System, or in the field.

Mr. Hecker further explains, “There has been a misconception about the quality of radiographs that a portable unit produces compared to a 300mA stationary system. Because our 120kV/40mA portable x-ray unit is high-frequency and can be lowered to a standard 30-inches on our Versa-View Mobile Exam Table, you will receive the same penetrating power as a stationary system, with a lower dose and lower scatter radiation.”

The two most popular portable x-ray units from DIS are the ULTRA 9030HF and ULTRA 12040HF. The 9030HF is recommended for equine practitioners as it only weighs 16 lbs, while the 12040HF is recommended for small and mixed animal practices. The 9030HF operates on the weakest of line power sources. This fantastic unit will automatically adjust and produce a calibrated output on only 83 volts and 5 amps of line power.

The 12040HF only weighs 25 lbs and is the most powerful portable x-ray unit for veterinary use on the market. It has become a favorite among equine practitioners who need the extra power for stifles. Both units are available with the industry’s first and only 5-year Hot Swap Warranty.
